Topical application of raspberry ketones increases dermal papillae immunohistochemical expression of IGF-I in hair follicles, promoting hair growth and increasing skin elasticity.
Salicylic acid not only works against dandruff but also washes excess sebum from the scalp and thus reduces the concentration of harmful DHT contained in sebum. It regulates normal scalp function and thus reduces dandruff.

Recent studies have shown that the topical application of raspberry ketone - an active ingredient which, as its name implies, is found in low concentrations in raspberries - on the scalp increases the so-called IGF-1 level both dermally and in the hair follicle. This led to a significant increase in hair growth and higher hair volume within 5 months in the majority of test subjects who suffered from androgenetic alopecia. IGF-1 is involved in all stages of hair development and, as a “hair growth essence,” is an integral part of hair growth in humans.
Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. The salycilic and silicic acid contained in Follicle Treatments are effective against dandruff and dead skin as well as being slightly fungicidal, antibacterial and strengthening the hair. Dead skin is removed and any disorders are addressed. The scalp, which is strengthened and mineralized with regular use, is a good basis for new, strong, full hair after the treatment. Silica has been a home remedy for hair growth that has been recommended for centuries and is used as a component of the concentrated field horsetail in our Follicle Treatments. Side effects caused by treatment with minoxidil (Rogaine®) or alcohol-containing tonics, such as scalp discomfort and possible irritation, are alleviated or resolved.
