Kaolin, white clay, was used in ancient Egypt for its cleansing properties. It is a natural product and essentially consists of minerals, trace elements and the finest grains of quartz. The capillary suction power of the healing earth pulls pollutants, sebum and bacteria out of the skin and has also proven itself for use with acne. Kaolin is excellent for cleaning impure, oily or sensitive skin.
Due to the ability of red algae, red algae extract can bind many times its weight in water (similar to hyaluronic acid), increases the skin's moisture content and thus prevents it from drying out. The contained phycoerythrin promotes cell renewal, special mucilage also has a healing effect. Red algae extract sustainably reduces redness and the high proportion of amino acids stimulates collagen formation in the skin.
Activated charcoal has strong absorbing properties, with which the skin can be cleaned particularly thoroughly. It binds dirt and toxins, but also bacteria and sebum deposits as well as minor environmental pollution due to its extremely porous and therefore large surface. The activated carbon is also very skin-friendly.
Provitamin B5 (panthenol) has long been used as an active ingredient in medical skin care. It not only has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect, but also penetrates the skin well and provides a lot of moisture. As a result, panthenol promotes skin elasticity. Provitamin B5 is also suitable for sensitive skin as it has skin barrier regenerating properties.
